- What kind of connection
does MediaHostNet have to the Internet backbone?
The data center has connections to many different Internet
backbones including UUNet, Sprint, Cable and Wireless, CRL,
Qwest, Exodus, Agis and Net Axs. We also have private and
direct peering DS3's set up between our location and that
of American Online and PSI-Net. The data center also operates
its own DS3 to Mae East to peer with many of the smaller
Tier One providers as well as operating another DS3 to the
ATM switch located there.

MediaHostNet's minimum server configurations are Dual Intel
Pentium II or Pentium III machines with Ultrawide SCSI HDD.
Unlike many of our competitors who employ inexpensive IDE

does MediaHostNet offer?
All MediaHostNet plans include Webalizer. Also, you have
access to raw access logs and are free to use the statistical
packages of your choice.
- Do you offer any ready-to-run
cgi-scripts?
Yes, MediaHostNet offers several ready-to-run cgi-scripts.
These scripts include FormMail and cgiemail (for emailing
form results), Guestbook, WWWboard (bbs), and guest counter.
We're always on the lookout for other reliable and popular
cgi-scripts to make available to our customers.
- Will you help me install
software/CGI scripts?
Yes, we can help you install software/CGI scripts. The actual
fee depends on the complexity of the installation.
- Does MediaHostNet allow
cronjobs?
MediaHostNet may allow programs to run in the background.
These programs will be considered on an individual basis
and customers will incur extra charges based on system resources
used and operational maintenance needed. If you wish to

- Does MediaHostNet support
Microsoft FrontPage?
MediaHostNet will install the necessary extensions for you
to use FrontPage and is happy to answer your questions related
to the use of these extensions. FrontPage extensions are
needed to enable you to publish your site with FrontPage,
and to run the tools supported by FrontPage: WebBots, ToDo
Lists and the FrontPage/Explorer interface.
MediaHostNet does not support problems and questions directly
related to the use of FrontPage itself. Instead, we will
direct you to Microsoft's FrontPage Technical Support.
- What version of FrontPage
does MediaHostNet support?
We support FrontPage 2000, 98 and 97.
- Are there any content
restrictions?
We do not host host Warez, Adult, or MP3 sites. We are a
family-friendly host. Nothing illegal, illicit, or of an
adult-nature is allowed. Please read our terms of service
agreement for further information.
- What if I want to upgrade
my website?
You may upgrade or downgrade your web hosting package at
any time. You will be required to pay the difference in
the setup fee for your current plan, and the plan you are
upgrading to, should you decide to choose a larger plan.
You will then pay the new monthly fee for the new account
package that you select.
